Members of the GFWC Munster Junior Woman’s Club gathered at Fiori Restaurant on May 21 for our annual End-of-Year Banquet, a special evening dedicated to celebrating another successful year of service, friendship, and community impact.
The banquet was organized by our newest club members, who planned a wonderful evening for the 25 members in attendance. The event provided an opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments of the past year, enjoy each other’s company, and recognize members whose dedication has made a lasting impact on our club.
During the evening, Amy Franklin was honored as our Club Member of the Year. Amy’s commitment to the club has been evident throughout the year through her service on the Fundraiser Committee, her leadership as co-chair of our Spring Quarter Auction, and her volunteer efforts at our culinary fundraiser. She has also become known for her creativity and generosity in creating many of the raffle baskets that help make our fundraising events successful.
We were also pleased to recognize Roxanne LaFemina as our New Club Member of the Year. Since joining the club, Roxanne has enthusiastically volunteered for committees, contributed countless ideas, and quickly became an active part of our organization. She also played a major role in helping plan this year’s banquet venue and celebration.
The End-of-Year Banquet is one of our favorite traditions, allowing us to celebrate not only what we have accomplished together, but also the friendships and connections that make the Munster Junior Woman’s Club so special.
Congratulations to Amy and Roxanne on these well-deserved honors, and thank you to all of our members for helping make this club year a success. We look forward to another year of service, leadership, and giving back to our community.
