Members of the Munster Junior Woman’s Club were proud to once again support the Munster Fire Department’s annual Fire Prevention Week Open House on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
Each year, our club helps make this family-friendly community event a success by managing the food and refreshments, including hot dogs, snacks, drinks, and cotton candy. Our members enjoy this annual tradition and the opportunity to support our local firefighters while welcoming families from throughout the community.
The Open House featured activities for all ages, including rides on an antique fire engine, hands-on fire safety training, door prizes, and a live house fire demonstration. This year’s theme, “Charge into Fire Safety: Safe Charging Is a Superpower!” highlighted the importance of safe charging practices.
Thank you to our MJWC members who volunteered their time and to the Munster Fire Department for another wonderful community event! We’re always happy to lend a hand to those who do so much to keep our community safe.
