Members of the Munster Junior Woman’s Club joined hundreds of supporters at Midway Airport to welcome home veterans returning from Honor Flight Chicago.
Honor Flight provides veterans with the opportunity to visit the memorials in Washington, D.C., built in honor of their service and sacrifice. As they returned home, they were greeted with cheers, applause, waving flags, and heartfelt gratitude from family, friends, volunteers, and community members.
Our club was honored to be part of this special homecoming. Standing together to thank those who have served our country is a small but meaningful way to show our appreciation for the sacrifices made by our nation’s veterans.
Thank you to our members who represented the Munster Junior Woman’s Club and helped make our veterans’ return home a memorable one. We are proud to support organizations and events that honor service, strengthen our community, and remind our veterans that their dedication will never be forgotten.
